Referred to in Japanese as Eiga Mura, Toei Movie Studios was once considered to be the “Hollywood” of Japan. Or at least that’s what Toei Movie Studio was referred to when samurai movies were all the rage. A fun break from temples, and shrines, especially if you have kids. Be careful though, you may find yourself caught in the middle of a (chambara) sword fight. Eiga Mura is a great place to get a taste of the dramatic side of Japanese culture and history.
