What is Tempura?
Tempura was originally introduced to Japan by the Portuguese, but tempura eventually changed to suit Japanese sensibilities. Pieces of fresh seafood and vegetables are dipped into a batter of wheat flour, egg, and water then deep-fried in vegetable oil.
