Wabiya Korekido 侘家古歴堂
Seeing yakitori-grilled charbroiled chicken in the open kitchen immediately draws you in. A modern and stylish decor adds to the upmarket feel of the Hanamikoji 花見小路 restaurant location

What is Yakitori?
Yakitori is essentially a Japanese-style shish kabob. Bite-sized pieces of chicken and onions are pierced by skewers flavored with sauces, salt or other mouth watering spices, grilled over a charcoal fire. A perfect match with Japanese sake and beer

Things to know
There are multiple locations but two of the better ones are Ponto-cho 先斗町 and Hanamikoji 花見小路. Both locations specialize in yakitori 焼き鳥 and vegetables that are all charbroiled 炭火焼. There is also a nice selection of wine, Japanese sake and other Japanese alcohol such as shochu 焼酎.
